There was an event over the weekend in which my spouse and I decided to try.  We don't enjoy going to this particular venue as the "fan area" is small and confined. 

However, because Julia Roberts. Geoge Clooney, Idris Elba, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Ben Kingsley and among others were on the list to attend, we decided to go.

Because of the time that we arrived at the event, we didn't expect to get anything.

At arrivals, we were able to get Jason Isaacs on floorboards and an index card.  We forgot our Idris Elba photos at home so we couldn't get him, nor did we had photos for Ralph Fiennes who came over to sign and took pictures.

When Benedict Cumberbatch arrived, it was a fan/autograph dealer frenzy.  He came over to sign in the front section and skipped one section in which my spouse and I were in; and because of the photographers who where standing in front of us, I had to think fast and moved to another spot.  I was thankfully able to get two photos done and was looking for my spouse who had the other two photos but by the time we exchanged photos, Benedict was done signing.

After the event was over, we were able to get Sir Ben Kingsley to sign our "Hugo" and "Ender's Game" photos.

My spouse hesitated to ask Ralph Fiennes for a picture because he was being standoffish; that even someone asked for the picture instead of the autograph!  Ralph took pictures only with 3 people..

Benedict didn't sign when he exited and Director Kathryn Bigelow only took pictures with fans and did not sign from what we saw.

George Clooney Surprised Fans at AFI

My spouse went to the AFI expecting to get Julia Roberts, Abigail Breslin, etc.. basically those who were not on the list..

We didn't do our homework and when fans were shouting out "George!" we saw George Clooney arriving at the event and then was walking towards us, we had nothing but index cards and wooden floorboards.

We managed to get 2 floorboards signed.  He only signed and didn't do any pictures with fans. 

Stana Katic Signing...(again?!) No Way..

Due to the failure of obtaining any autographs from Stana Katic at the "CBGB" premiere a few months ago, my spouse and I became very discouraged into ever trying for her again.  There were rumors that she had a alleged stalker and therefore she was very cautious of her surroundings. 

We didn't believe that she would "hide" or even used "umbrellas" to block herself from either fans and paparazzi; until witnessing her behavior at the "CBGB" premiere.

Well... the other day, Stana Katic was out and we decided her go to the event because we had not only photos for her but another actor as well (Idris Elba).  We didn't expect anything from her, but when some of the fans in the front shouted her name, she came over to us and I was fumbling to get her photos out of my bag to prepare for her to sign.  We didn't know how many she was going to do, so we waited patiently for her to hit our section.. and she did! We each managed to get one each from her, which is a blessing (especially from the fiasco at the "CBGB" premiere!)

Her publicist even complimented on my spouse's photo! She nodded in approval and smiled and said "that is a nice shot.."  Even Stana remembered my spouse from other events!

On exits, Stana chose to sign one DVD for a fan and I got to her one on one but she was done signing after that.

We'll take the 2 autographs! Thanks, Stana for signing again!!

Mr. Ford.. Can You Sign?

Harrison Ford was out this week to promote his latest movie "Ender's Game."  I don't have any luck in obtaining Harrison's autograph but my spouse has gotten his autograph before.

As far as I know, Mr. Ford did not pick up a pen at the Ender's Game premiere.  Everyone was running from here to there, in and out of the hotel, running from the front entrance to the back looking for him.  Even a few people met him face to face a couple of times during the night and we heard they got turned down.  He even told them "you are on private property.. you shouldn't be in here.."

Luckily, we didn't invest too much time at the premiere as we arrived an hour before it even started not expecting much from Harrison Ford.

Instead, we made a good decision in going for him at an earlier appearance he made in the week and we were able to get two signed photos from Mr. Ford himself.  There were only a dozen of us and he came out of the car and told us that he wasn't going to take pictures, to stay where you are, and will do one each. 

One autograph seeker was able to get a second signed photo as she told him "my father is in the car, and you make it out to '---?' " Harrison gave her a few seconds of "the look" but did it anyways.  Sometimes, you gotta work the system, right? 

Again, it was a last minute decision to go because he's a hit or miss (most of the time a miss for me!) and we went with the photos that we had in our inventory and got a few done.

Thank goodness!

Bryan Cranston Gets a Star in Hollywood!! -- Aaron Paul Guest Spearker

Earlier this week, Breaking Bad star, Bryan Cranston received a Star in Hollywood.  I requested the day off in advance once I found out he was receiving this honorable award; my spouse and I had to go!  We met Bryan in the past several times before, and he would try to do "one each."

When my spouse and I arrived to the star ceremony location, there were lots of people there already burning in the hot sun!! We knew that it was going to be a hot one and very crowded but arrived an hour before the ceremony started.  We had second row but when we saw the Aaron Paul signing to our left, we left our spot.  And of course when we reached him, he stopped.

We managed to get all but 1 Bryan Cranston photo signed. And due to the madness, one of our photos got torn and bent up.. Aaron Paul signed all of our photos. Oh, happy day!

Kerry Washington in Hollywood

After the "Peeples" premiere failure to obtain Kerry's autograph, we were somewhat doubtful that she may not be as nice to sign anymore.  Especially, when she didn't sign for a couple of fans who were waiting for her earlier at this event.

But she erased any doubts that we had, when she came over to sign.  At first, there was no regulations; she was signing anything that was in her face. But either she noticed people double dipping or her publicist did, she changed to "one each."

Once again, she refused to sign one of our photos we had since the "Spirit Awards".  I shouldn't bring it for her next event..

Zoe Saldana Signs for Fans (even when jetlagged!)

Zoe Saldana was in town and signed autographs and took a picture with one lucky fan afterwards.  She came with a bouquet of flowers in her hands and received another bouquet of flowers from a fan.  She did as much as she could but said "only one, guys.." a few of us were able to get 2-3 done.
